HOME DONATE REGISTER FAQ MY ACCOUNT OHIO COMBAT VETERANS
FAQ

Q: When does registration open and close?
A: Registration is now open. Registration will close the day prior to the walk.

Q: What is the fundraising minimum? Can I exceed it?
A: All participants are encouraged to raise at least $100 to participate in this event. However, it is not a requirement. We encourage you to fundraise beyond this and increase your support of our local veterans who are served by Ohio Combat Veterans.

Q: What if I don’t reach my fundraising goal? Will my space be forfeited?
A: Once you have registered for the walk, your space is guaranteed. It is not a requirement to raise $100 to participate in the walk, but we strongly encourage you to do so. We feel that $100 is a small amount compared to what our nation’s heroes have sacrificed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Q: Will my name or the name of our team be listed in Ohio Combat Veterans monthly newsletter?
A: All walkers and teams that raise a minimum of $100 will be listed in our monthly newsletter.  Individual names will be displayed as they are entered during registration. Team Captains will have final say as to how they want their groups/organization name displayed.

Q: How can I get a copy of Ohio Combat Veterans newsletter?
A: All walkers will automatically start to receive Ohio Combat Veterans newsletter unless they decline to do so.

Q: May I register someone else for the walk?
A: No. All participants must register themselves. Each walk entrant must personally read and agree to a liability waiver.

Q: How do I pick up my t-shirt?
A: Walkers who have successfully raised $100 or more may pick up their T-shirt at the registration table prior to the event.

Q: Am I able to buy a t-shirt at the walk?
A: Ohio Combat Veterans t-shirts are earned. They are not given away, nor are they for sale. Currently the only way to get an Ohio Combat Veterans T-shirt is either to be a combat veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or by showing your commitment to our troops by successfully completing a fundraising goal of $100 or more.

Q: I am interested in donating but not sure how much to give?
A: All contributions are tax deductable and will help our returning veterans’ transition back to civilian life. There is no donation too big or small - all donations are greatly appreciated and support our returning men and women.

Q: Can I make a donation at the walk?
A: Donations may be made at the walk, however walker registration closes the day before the actual walk. Donations may be made by cash, check, or credit card during the event. Donations can also be made on our website www.ohiocombatveterans.org

Q: Will donors receive tax documentation for their donation?
A: Donors will automatically receive an email acknowledging their tax deductible donation for their records. They will also receive a letter in the mail.
